Critiques
Besides a masterfully crafted lighting and composition there are some parts that to me feel unfinished. Now, this can be on purpose, but since you asked for a critique I might as well point them out. In the neck of the creature you start a certain level of 'cracks'. I kinda miss that on the rest of the body. I also feel that the chest could still use a little bit of work, even though that's not on the focal point. The cap lacks some texture (it looks a bit too clean to me)
Further more I love the shape of his face and especcially ear. I love how it's attached to his head and how the veins run through it. But on the same time, it also feels a bit deadish. If you take a look at some reference photo's of ears that are in a similar light, you'll notice a very bright reddish tint in the ear from the blood that running through it. It could be that this creature has brown blood, but it sure would make it a lot more 'readable' for people, I think.
Vision is awesome, it's hard to be original when you're painting a creature like this, but the cap takes it out of the obvious. Technique is ofcourse awesome and it made impact enough to write a spontaneous critique
Well done, can't wait to see the next
